Ashit,

Take a look at your rsoe configuration files or startup options. If you enter the host into a browser, i.e. http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx or https://myserver.mycompany.com, are you able to connect?

If so, add the url_suffix to the address, probably /ias_relay_server/server/rs_server.dll. What do you see now?

Finally, add the farm id. What do you see now?

Now look at your Relay Server log. Typically this will be in a folder called ias_relay_server, and will be called rs.log or ias_relay_server_host.log. Search for the farm id you used above. Are there any errors?

Hi Michael,

In the rs.config of relay server: start = no

We have entered http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (relay server IP)or https://myserver.mycompany.com

in the afaria server browser and we get result as per below screenshot.

when we have added the url_suffix to the address, /ias_relay_server/server/rs_server.dll(we also have same path for rs_server.dll) we get error as per below screenshot

Ashit,

It looks like either Relay Server hasn't been installed, or the Relay Server service is not running.

Check your Services Control Panel. If Relay Server is not running, try to start it. If it is, open IIS Manager and verify that there is an ias_relay_server application (virtual directory).

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply.

I checked the relay server service. It is running.

I also checked IIS manager,ias_relay_server application is also present there.

Were you able to locate your Relay Server log file? If so, could you do a search for the farm name and post an appropriately sanitized snippet of any errors you find?

Hi Ashit,

Could you please try the KBA below?

1835598 - "THe resource cannot be found" 404 error when enrolling iOS device - Afaria

Hi Charlie,

I am working for android devices so I dont think this note would apply in my case. I went through the note and the symptom does not match mine.

Thanks anyways.

Ashit, though the symptoms don't exactly match yours,  I would double check the HTTP Activation feature on the Relay server to assure that it is not installed. That was my original thought, but I saw that Charlie had linked this KBA.

Dear Ashit Mehra,

Please take a look at this SCN discussion RSOE Configuration error in Sybase Afaria Server | SCN

Hope this helps.

Hi Sushmitha,

I have already enabled the ISAPI connections as suggested in the above link.

But it is still giving the same issue.

Ashit
