SAP HANA INSTALLATION (UNPACKING THE .SAR FILE USING SAPCAR)

Dear Gurus,

Greetings for the Day!

I am trying to extract .SAR file for extracting HANA DATABASE/SERVER as i want to Install SAP HANA on Linux.

Now when i try to extract .SAR file using SAPCAR by giving the command :

     /root/documents/newfolder/SAPCAR xvf- SAR FILENAME

It prompts the command and gives me the information of SAPCAR but it does not decompress or extract .SAR file.

Please guide me in this respect at your earliest.

Try this:

./SAPCAR.EXE -xvf IMDB_SERVER100_85_3.SAR

Also, make sure that SAPCAR is the Linux version and not the windows one.

Can you confirm if the issue is with HANA One offering in AWS Marketplace?

HANA One is a productive use HANA in AWS marketplace for $0.99/hr software license.

It only has community support to keep the cost down.

Let us know if we are talking about the same offering.

Due to the fact that HANA is running on Linux you should use the Linux version of SAPCAR and not the windows one.
