MSProject: Security list is invalid error while exporting project from PPM to MS Project

Hello Experts,

I am facing an error while exporting (and also importing), PPM project to MS Project.

Error is 'MSP: Security list is invalid' ; please see attached screenshot.

Based on research I found that it is an issue related to whitelist configuration and our basis guy is working on the issue.

Meanwhile,

1. Can anybody help me understand what could be possible other issue?

2. What are the prerequisites for integration between MSP and PPM?

Regards

Mahendra Kadam

Hey Guys,

I was able to solve this issue.

Following are the steps that I have done to solve above issue

1. Configure whitelist: T Code = WDR_ACF_WLIST

2. Generate Certificate: T code = WDR_ACF_GEN_CERT

3. Distribute/ Install Certificate on user computer: ACF_WHITELIST_SETUP

In the first step where you add directory for upload and download, make sure you add directory to which user has access to. So in my case, my system was on domain, I had to use administrator login where I found that it is access issue. Then I configured directory which I had access (for example : C:\users\mahk\SAP). I did not get this error thereafter

Thanks Judith for help initially.

Regards,

Mahendra

Information concerning the prerequisitions are available in note 1502999.

Configuration details are available in note 1706291.

Hello Judith,

Based on the reference that you have provided, I was able to solve that problem partially.

Following are the steps that I have used.

1. Configure whitelist: T Code = WDR_ACF_WLIST

2. Generate Certificate: T code = WDR_ACF_GEN_CERT

3. Distribute/ Install Certificate on user computers: ACF_WHITELIST_SETUP

4. Add the certificate in Trusted Root Certificate Authorization on local computer

I am now able to export the PPM project to MS Project and Whitelist issue is not coming now.

However I am getting following error while importing MS Project into PPM.

"MSProject: This path is not in the security list"

I think this issue is again related to step 1 above but not able to solve it after trying multiple variations.

Do you have any idea on this?

Regards

Mahendra
