Doubt on program id in Rfc sender adapter

Dear expects!!

I am working on rfc  interface  while creating sender com channel  I have to enter   Program id.as per my knowledge this program id and another program id  which is in creating rfc destination both are same

coming to my doubt

1) how to get this program id?

2)This program id and RFC destination  both are same? if yes Rfc destination and another program id in rfc destination and program id in sender com-channel  this 3 are same?

3)what is role of smgw tcode .

I am fully confused  plz clear my doubts

Hi Akumar,

The program id name in the RFC sender comunication channel must be the same as the created in the RFC destination using the "Registered Server Program" in the Technical Settings, the name of the RFC destination is not important.

You must specify the program id and the Gateway Options. The program id name is just a name (identification to be used in the channel and rfc destination) and can be registered in the ERP gateway or in the SAP PI gateway.

If you uses the ERP gateway you will see the program id created under Goto->Logged on Clients once you configured the RFC sender channel.
