Stock Data of serial number XX not suitable for movement when doing GI is irrepairable ??

Hi Consultants,

I am trying to post GI with a serial number and it gives me the following error

“Stock data of serial number 46 not suitable for movement

Message no. IO231”

“Serial number 46 cannot be used here

Message no. IO201”

“Termination upon goods issue posting of delivery item 25000138/000010, material M-01

Message no. IO305”

This issue ONLY happens when we press PGI on delivery document and behind in IMG the “StkCk” in serial number profile is activated with “2 Inconsistencies in stock data- >Error”

As per the error long text we can change “Stock information” section in the serial number master record(IQ02) like fields Plants and Storage location only if “StkCk” is in “1 Inconsistencies in stock data- >Warning” or “No Stock Validation”. No other resolution is given

How do we proceed on an error like this serial number master data wise considering this is a real business scenario.

Have a look at the following notes:-

• Note 204581 - Goods movement with serial numbers: IO231, IO201
• Note 712985 - IO201, IO231 and IO305 occur for a delivery goods movement

If i remove this “2 Inconsistencies in stock data- >Error” from serial number profile(settings) this will not come up. How can i solve this while this is still on
