Hi,
a few weeks we have installed LS4BIP release 1.29
Just now I saw there is a release 1.29.3 available since Dec-10.
Does anyone know what the fixed-issues are in 1.29.3 as compared to 1.29 ? Or, more in general , isn't there a "Lumira (LS4BIP) Fixed-Issues issues list" as there is for the BI 4 Platform SP's ?
We especially want to know what the fixed issues are as we are facing one in 1.29
Thanks.

Thanks Henry !
As , for the BIP, I'm not using this Info button anymore since long , but using the fixed-issue list PDF, I forgot the functionality of this Info-button. Now I will not forget anymore.
Unfortunately, this fix is not the one we are suffering from (LS4BIP has no View-option in Infoview when installed on a separate node on a BOE-Cluster)
Thanks anyway !
Eddy
Hi Eddy
That should work though. Please consider creating a phone incident on that, or a new post here.

Hi
I looked at the description of the landscape, but I am not sure if it was configured as I's like it to be. I just find it hard to visualize . Anyhow, in general, here are the steps you'd want to do in a clustered environment. Please have a look and check if all of the below was performed on your side.
To install LS4BIP in a clustered environment, please note that:
There are 4 components in LS4BIP:
1) Lumira Server
2) Scheduling Services
3) Restful Web Services
4) Web Application.
The pre-requisites for these components are:
#1 requires "Platform Processing Service" (APS) in BI Platform
#2 requires "Platform Scheduling Service" (AJS) in BI Platform
#3 requires "Restful Web Services" (WACS) in BI Platform
#4 requires the BI Platform web-tier (Tomcat and BOE.war)
We highly recommend LS4BIP is installed on a dedicated server with at least 16GB of memory.
With these said, here's my recommendation for you:
1. In addition to the any servers in your BI Platform cluster, please have a new server machine for LS4BIP installation.
2. On this new machine, install the same version of BI Platform (BI 4.1 SP5 P3), and choose Custom/Expand option to cluster it with the other machines, and choose only "Platform Processing Service", "Platform Scheduling Service" and "Restful Web Service"
3. After the installation completes, you should have 3 new BI Platform servers in the landscape: one new APS, AJS and WACS.
4. Now, install LS4BIP on the server machine, in the install options choose "Lumira Server." "Scheduling Serivce," and "Restful Web Services."
5. After LS4BIP install completes, you'll have a new "Lumira Server" in your BI Platform landscape. All the Lumira document processing will be handled by this server machine, and it won't impact the performance on the existing machines.
6. Finally, you need to install LS4BIP "Web Applications" on both of your web-tier servers, this is to add the Lumira document viewer and other front-end components to the existing BOE.war. Since you have 2 web-tier servers, you'll need to run LS4BIP install on both of them and choose "Web Applications" only. The installer will re-deploy the BOE.war file.
7. After all the installations are completed, please restart the entire BI Platform to make sure the CMS repository are updated properly. This is a required step for LS4BIP installation.
The SAP Lumira, server for BI Platform Installation and Administration Guide 1.29 has more details on the above. But it's tough read as these things tend to be so perhaps my notes will suffice.

Hi Ludek, thanks for your long text of information. Almost all what you have described, we have done.
Except : on the new node, we have installed only Lumira Server and RestFul-WS, as in below screenshot :
So you think we also need an AJS and an APS on tis Lumira-node ?
And, if yes, which "Common Services" needs to be added in the AJS and the APS ?
