can anyone tell what is the difference between adaptive RFC model & webservice model in webdynpro & can we use any one of the model or both models to retrieve the data from R/3 system. pls send the answer to my mail-id: mail2lakvi@yahoo.co.in.

Adaptive RFC model depends upon the JCO connection your WAS sets up with R/3 systems , while Webservice model you can anytime import since its exposed on web-url.All you nedd to do here to provide path publised in the directory or give WSDL file path from your local macine.
Yes both model can be used to fetaach the data from the RFC with proper configurations done. In case RFC model ,JCO are rquired , while in case of webservice model , WSDL file should point to R/3syste,, it can not directlky access the data base
