Please suggest how can we delete an IDoc segment

Hi SAP experts,

I have an issue in which i have to delete a blank IDoc segment . I know that we can delete it using transaction code WE19 but in this case a new IDoc will be created.

Is it possible to delete an Idoc segment using WE02 so that the Idoc number remains the same? I have tried to replicate this issue , but as far as i have tried found that via WE02 we can delete data in IDoc segment but not segments.

Please suggest.

I am working in a support project and i received a issue in which Customer has asked to delete an IDoc segment which is empty.

Hello Deepika,

Can you shed some light on the actual problem you are facing ? One of the way of addressing the problem could be deleting the segment but there might more ways to get over the issue.

What is the need to delete a segment when you can control the data being populated in it? This is not advisable.
