start BRTools

hi

am new with BRTools .pls tell me how to start a Brtools .and which user i can login.

my server is windows 2003 server

sap is 4.7EE

database oracle 9i

kernel version is 640

pls tell me how to start a BRtools and how to add a table space of PSAPDEV.

Hi ..

You can use Brtools to add datafiles to the Tablespace..with user orasid.. but before you add the datafile make sure you check whether the Backups are active.

Get into SQL>select distinct status from v$backups;

Notactive

Then you may proceed.. if it comes back with active.. you need 2 wait till the backups are finished and then may Proceed.

Hi,

In order to run Brtools you need to login as a <sid>adm.

But in 4.7EE version you won't get all options.type in cmd field Br tools you will get new window.

Better in 4.7EE use SAPDBA and add data files for the PSAPDEV.table.

login <sid> sdm and go to command prompt then write here brtools then it will be show manny option now can choose your option

Hi,

Loginto SID<ADM> at Os level., then execute brtools from command prompt-> space management.
