SAP IS Retail: Article Merchandise Category Update

Hi All,

We would like to ask your expert view on this.

Due to the business nature, there is a need to change the article merchandise category in article master data.

However, we noted that to do this, the system ask us that:

- There are no remaining stock of that article

- No open PO or Scheduling Agreement

Understood that SAP adopts this approach to ensure consistency in the transactions. However, due to the quite high frequency of merchandise category update in our company, the practice of "flushing out stock and open PO" is becoming very impractical.

Do you have experience in such cases and how to manage it in a better way?

Hi RIAN

Could you try the reclassification of Article using WRCR transaction code

We can enter the new MC to which we want to reassign the article and execute program system would reassign article to new MC
