Multiple defect line items on the notification for defect recording

Hi,

I am working with calibration process. I have set up Inspection type with defect recording (customer service type notification).

I have set up MIC with upper limit and Defect recording activated.

Maintained the catalog codes for General defect and Max limit (Catalog type 9)

While results recording I have entered measured value more than my upper limit value. System is creating a defect in the back ground, but when I access I see there are 2 line items in the notification with same defect code.

Till I valuate MIC's I see only one line item of defect and once I valuate Inspection point (Equipment) the second entry is populated.

We don't want 2 line items to come on defect relevant notification.

Is there a way I can avoid this.

We have found SAP note 328956 which has corrections to avoid this issue.
