Message retention period deafult value - production environment

Hi all,

We are upgrading our PI 7.1 system to version 7.4.

We have both ABAP and JAVA stacks on the upgraded system.However we have converted all our existing interfaces to ICO.

Can anyone please let me know what is the recommended "max" value for the retention period in the production environment for the XML messages on the java stack?

default retention period is 1 day. It depends on your daily volume , in my prod env we are keeping messages for 14 days,
