How to change Lines and Columns in Combined Column Line Chart

Former Member

I'm trying to create a graph that has 2 columns mapped to the left axis (discounts taken and discounts lost) and then add a line for Weighted average Days to pay mapped to the right axis. however, when ever I drag in my measure it inevitably assigns the wrong measure to the wrong lines/columns.

How do I change whether the series should be a column or a line?

Hi Ben - maybe you can share a screen shot, using the camera icon?

I don't see how you can map 3 axes - see mine:

There's only 2 axes possible.

Hi Ben,

You can control this in the "Compose" room.

I followed Paul Brownsey's instructions here:

Ability to select column or line in a combination chart : View Idea

He says:

"Create for example a Combined Column Line Chart with three measures on the Y Axis and a date dimension or time hierarchy on the X Axis. By default, Lumira uses columns to represent the measure that's at the top of the measures feed, and it uses lines to represent each of the other measures. Now, go to Compose and place the chart on a page. Click a line or a column to select its series, and look in the Visualization Properties panel. There you have a Series Type option with a dropdown that lets you switch between Line or Column for the selected series. The same option is available for the Combined Column Line Chart with 2 Y-Axes."
