SAP HANA Cloud Portal - Role-Based Page Access with SuccessFactors as Role Provider

Hello,

I have a Successfactors Demo Instance with an SAP HANA Cloud Platform Successfactors Extension Account and the SAP HANA Cloud Portal.

I want to create a website in the Cloud Portal with Role-Based Page Access for the different Pages.

Because the Cloud Portal is in an SAP Hana Cloud Platform Successfactors Extension Account the Role-Provider for the Cloud Portal is automatically Successfactors.

But in Cloud Portal the list of available roles for my pages is empty and there is only shown the predefined role "Website-Guests".

Why i can't select the Successfactors-Roles even though Successfactors is the Role-Provider for the Cloud Portal?

Hello Christoph,

I am afraid that this is how it is by design

The Cloud Portal only accesses the HCP to verify which roles are available

I will pass your feedback to the product owners

Is there another possibility to create roles for the cloud portal in the HCP Cockpit, if the active role provider is SuccessFactors? Possibly even with a mapping to the SuccessFactors roles?
