why we need to install license after db refresh ?

Hi Techies,

i have one small doubt when we are doing db refresh from database all the data has been copied along with license tabled also

after we done db refresh again we need to install license or not if we need to install license why?

Hi,

Because when you do a db refresh, usually is on another server. Because every server have one different hardware key, and the license is generated according with it.

Hi Saketh

     every SID have 3 values unique as the below snapshot

• Active Hardware Key
• Installation Number
• System Number

once you refresh DB , by default these value changed so you should apply license to the SID
