Creating delivery without allocation

Hello Guru's:

I'm using SAP AFS. Having a requirement to create delivery without allocation in MTS scenario as business needs to over deliver in some cases. Well, with allocation, SAP can only allocate what is requested in sales order, and when we create delivery, it can only deliver what is allocated. We cannot over deliver using customer delivery tolerance levels.

Thought, if we remove allocation (turned off allocation at item category AFS config, but that setting make SAP look for special stock that comes from MTO scenario, provided screen shot for that below as well) and try to deliver with qty that business intends would work, but it doesn't create a delivery though stock is available in inventory, delivery date, shipping point matches sales order.

Getting message:

Thanks for any help!

Agreed with M.F Khan,

Please add the quantities in Sales order and then allocated it system will allow to allocate the added qty then you user can create the delivery and PGI for added qty. By doing this, it would be good for future reporting purpose too.

HI Phani,

For SAP AFS material Allocation run is mandatory without allocating the stock user cannot create delivery. There 2 exceptions where we can create deliveries without allocation is for MTO and PTO because in this process goods receipt is done against sales order and it will become sales order reserved stock which we can see in /N/AFS/MD04 under E tab. In MTO/PTO we can deliver only those qty which reserved or fixed against sales order without allocation run.

In your case i would suggest add those additional  quantities in sales order. allocate them and create the delivery.
