SAP GUI won't see saplogon.ini

Hi Experts,

We installed the SAP GUI 740 patch 5 on a windows 2008 r2 server. We don't see the saplogon.ini file under

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common. If I place a saplogon.ini file in this location, even then it won't read it. Can you please let me know where it reads this data from?

I setup the environment variable "SAPLOGON_INI_FILE"  with the path of the saplogon.ini but then also it doesn't see it. We want remote users to logon to the different SAP servers using this windows server.

Please advice.

Hello Asad,

I had this before briefly but I fixed it by running saplogon.exe as administrator.

Have you tried updating to patch 5 hotfix 2 if running as admin does not work?
