Deploy Windows 7/8 and windows CE Applications

Hello,

We have a customer request, is it possible to deploy Apps with Afaria to Windows 7 /8 and Windows CE devices?

I know that there is no Appstore like for iOS or Android...

But I think it should somehow work to send and maybe install Enterprise Applications to Windows 7 /8 and Windows CE devices. I think I saw that it is working with channel manager.

Can anybody help me in this case? Is there a documentation or something about this? Arethis 3 OS's supported?

Michael,

Yes this is very possible.  You would make a session worklist in the Channel Administrator, and then assign it in a session policy to the groups of these devices.   For the basics, you would use a send file event to send the install. (exe, msi, cab) etc.   For any multithreaded OS you can use an execute event to kick off and install the app on the device.
