When the number of records in an repository has been reduced significantly, the repository becomes sparse and the MDM Server becomes less efficient. The compact command is used to reduce the runtime memory used by the MDM repository and increase its speed.The Compact command only compacts those tables that exceed certain sparseness thresholds.
