Planning through down times in APO

Hi Experts,

we have a requirement to plan through the down times in scheduling.

As per SAP Note 448601 - Downtimes in resources

If we implement  the BADI /SAPAPO/CRESDOWNTIME  it will plan the operation to begin before the downtime and to finish after the downtime in finite scheduling.

Can anyone please let me know if we can use this BADI if we have SNP planning in place.

Hi Maddy,

The BAdI will affect how scheduling occurs in the Time-Continuous capacity (PP/DS), while SNP only checks if there is enough capacity in the bucket.

I don't think the note will have any effect in SNP, though I have never tested it in detail.
