New Plant Setup

Hi All,

We have two plants xyz1 and xyz2, plant 2 was involved in export sale and plant one is for both, import and export. now we are planing to close plant 2 and we need to incorporate it into plant one. can you suggest what and all necessary points i need to consider as far as SD is concern.

i need to close all pending sales orders, PO's and other related open documents.

Apart from the above mentioned notes you might also want to check if you are maintaining Customer Material Info records (VD51), then you would have to update there with the new plant details as well.

Also, hopefully there is no hard coding in the user-exits with the old plant for any functionality that you may be using. Goes without saying that will also have to be checked and updated by your ABAPer.

Hi

You have mentioned what you need to take care of. Apart from that you need to update your master data for delivering plant, you need to check and move the stock from closing plant to active plant. There is nothing else you need to worry about from SD point of view.
