SAP GRC 10.0 Access Control on NetWeaver 7.40 (SPS#12) - Install Add-on via SAINT/SPAM or SAP Maintenance Planner/SUM (Software Update Manager)?

Hello SAP Experts,

I am having the requirement to install SAP GRC (Access Control 10.0).

The installation documents I found

do not to have SAP Maintenance Planner/Software Update Manager documented/where not updated.

In case I overseen it, sorry.

What is now the "correct" approach?

Install via SAP Maintenance Planner or follow the installation from 2011/12 and install by SAINT/SDM?

In SAP Maintenance Planner GRC 10.0 is available as Plug-in + Patches.

From my understanding, on technical level SUM is using SAINT/SPAM in SDM/JSPM in the end ...

Shall I create for this a SAP Support request, to be on the safe side?

You can follow the installation via SAP Maintenance Planner with SUM tool you can perform installation / upgrade of GRC.
