Sales BOM

Dear Experts

I  am working on Scenario as Below .

12 L Milk - 1 Crate has to go customer .

24 L Milk  -2 Crates has to go to customer

I  am not able to find below in CS01 .

1. Quantity conversion like 12 L header Material = 1 Crate  in Sales Order

2. If I have scenario 13 L in Sales Order then system should pick 1 crate .

Hoping someone can help me .

I think you have to maintain it at material master level

1) Material master for MILK

Base unit - L-liter,  Sales unit - CR-crate

1 crate = 12 L

2) maintain material master for Crate also (hope it is returnable package material)

Is BoM really necessary, ...? in this case

Hi

Client is looking to automate the sales order . So if user entering the main item (Milk) , system should suggest the required number of crates in order .

  Any other way to achieve this ??

I have been able to achieve the quantity conversion by maintaining

Milk Sales Unit = 12L Milk  in M.master ,

BOM conversion is 1L = .83 crate , and in crate I kept the min Order quantity as 1 .

I am able to achieve desired result

BUT

My Free goods stooped working , seems free good and BOM does work together .

Any other way to achieve the scenario ?

yeah santosh, std. SAP does not allow BoM with free goods
