Is Solution Manager Key needed for upgrade

I am in the process of upgrading Nw2004 to Nw2004s . Pls let me know whether do we need a SAP Solution Manager Key to do the upgrade.

Hi Balaji,

For an upgrade of NW2004s from NW2004 you still need a solution manager key.But this need not be installed on your landscape, you can request for the same from others who have this installed.

yes its mandatory .

you have to add your system

in solution manager SLD and give all details

SID

HOST NAME

SYSTEM No

and generate the key

after that you can use this key during upgradation.
