Transport Layer SCAP

Hi Gurus,

Some SAP Notes (like 1914863) ask to use the Transport Layer SCAP.

1. Has anybody knows how should SCAP be created?

2. Is it necessary?

3. Is it possible to use other Transport Layer?

Hello Jorge,

1. tx STMS => Transport Routes => Edit => Transport Layer => Create

2. If SAP think so then why not do it

3. Quite possibly but see (2).

What I had meant by see (2) was see my reply to question 2.

That all said, in order to better understand your question, I looked at the OSS note you mentioned and found what you are referring to in the Manual_DDIC_steps_v_4.0.pdf document.

I see in the document it does refer to Transport Layer = SCAP. For me this is a typo and is should be Transport Layer = SAP.

I have cross checked this in an existing EHP6 system (manually implemented) and in a freshly installed EHP7 system and the Transport Layer in both = SAP for Package ID-LO-MX.

So now to answer (3) again I would say assign Transport Layer = SAP.
