PPM: Duplicate Phases in PPM

Hello Experts,

I countered a weird issue now. I took an existing cproject in PPM and created two phases without saving wither of them. When I saw phase Id's , I found they are same ( phase 1: 1-107711-06, phase 2: 1-107711-06) and then I saved the cproject. I created the tasks separately for both the phases and then I got the error that "Object 1-107711-06-01 already exists" .

So, I am surprised to see this behavior of system that : First it is not generating running number of phase (even when I did not save the cProject and created phases one after the other) and when I am creating the task for these phases then it is popping-up error that objects already exists.

Can you please suggest me what is wrong with that?

Hi Saurabh,

As you would know, that's not a standard behavior!

Does it occur every time or was it an one time occurrence? If you can reproduce the error and have no enhancements, please check for oss notes/ask SAP?

Hi

I took the issue in debugging and bypassed the duplicate number and manualy created the running number. Now, the issue is addressed and resolved.
