what is the main difference between entity type 1 and type 4?
Hi ,
Type 1 entity are used for the Basic/General data items which can be maintained via MDG CR process.
Type 4 entity are user for dependent data items of basic/General data which carries type 1 key in its primary key .

Type 1 entity is the Main object you want to maintain using MDG change request process.
Type 4 entity is a subobject, which is dependent on another object ( Main ). For example in Business Partner, the main details of the BP would be Type 1, and lets say Bank details would be Type 4. Type 4 record set does not have existence without Type 1. Hence it carries a Type 1 key in its Primary key ( automatically added)
