Sales BoM Item - Reason for Rejection

Hi All,

I understand that when we assign Reason for Rejection to BoM Header Item in Sales Order, the rejection reasons are inherited to the subitems also. It should not allow to apply Reason for Rejection in Subitem, only to header material. Am I correct?

The system is allowing Reason for Rejection to be applied for subitem too.

Can you please let me know where is the setting to disable the field for BoM Subitem. Is it available as a Standard setting?

Hi Adithya,

It is possible to assign the reason for rejection on the BOM subitem. The field will be open for input for the header item and the subitems.

Yes but I want the field to be greyed out for BOM subitem. Please let me know if there is a standard solution.

Hi Adithya,
You could control this using a userexit (USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION) in MV45AFZZ. SAP note 208245 contains some good information on how to achieve this. You could do a simple check to see if the higher level item field is filled (VBAP-UEPOS) and then close the reason for rejection field (VBAP-ABGRU). Your ABAP developer will be able to help with this.
