Hi ,
We are using kernel ERP 6.0 with ehp 4 we with Oracle version 11..2.0.2.0
Pls advise can i upgrade kernel version directly 7.20 to 7.41 Because i am
not able to searched any document of kernel 7.40 Prerequisite .
Hi Sandeep,
Another way to check for supported kernel release for a product would be to check PAM.

Check the SAP note 1969546 - Release Roadmap Kernel 740
It says what SP level of NW 7.4 the system should be on in order to use kernel 7.4x

Hello Sandeep,
From kernel 7.20 you can go to kernel 7.21 or kernel 7.22. Kernel 7.41 is not downward compatible.
Read more in the following SAP notes:
1744209 - SAP Kernel 720, 721 and 722: Versions and Kernel Patch Levels
2115344 - Installation of Kernel 722 (EXT)
1713986 - Installation of kernel 721 (EXT) [already mentioned by SS].
1975687 - SAP Kernel 7.21 (EXT) replaces SAP Kernel 7.20 (EXT) as standard kernel in Q1/2

Hi Sandeep,
No. ERP 604(701) doesn't support 7.4x kernel. You can go with 721EXT kernel as advised by SS.
You can check the same in the Product Availability Matrix:

Hi Sandeep
On your current SAP system you can upgrade the kernel 7.20 to 7.21 or 7.22 ext version not on 7.40.
Kindly check the SAP PAM and SAP Note for kernel 7.21
1713986 - Installation of kernel 721 (EXT)
