Hi gurus,
Environment is NW2004S / EP 7.0 and back-end R/3 system release 4.6C.
I've been requested by developers to setup Visual Composer 7.0 as it is integrated in NW2004s.
As it seems that setup completed succesfully (i accessed to URL "http://<myservername>.<mydomainname>:<portnumber>/VC/default.jsp" and connected to visual composer interface, i 'd like to know if others technical settings are required before providing/delivering this development tool... as developers are currently quiet hard to please
I created a new model and composed succesfully.
However, I need to be sure that technical configration is proper.
Thanks for your experience feedback and help.
Rgds,
zulain
Hi Zulain,
I am working as a developer on Netweaver tools like Visual Composer, Web Dynpro and all. According to what all you have said, I believe there is nothing else needed to be done. Still go through the following points i have listed:
1)For running Visual Composer on the browser level, Adobe SVG Viewer 3.0 or higher and Microsoft XML Parser 4.0 are required, but i guess you have already set up these since you said you have been able to create a model successfully. See the following link:

2)For working on Visual Composer, some roles need to be assigned to the user. Have a look at the following link to see the list of roles required. VCRole is a must.

Hi zulain,
you need on the client machines at designtime: MSXML Parser 4, Adobe SVG Viewer 3
and at runtime, if you use flash/flex compiler: the latest flash plugin.
Also make sure that you have assigned the VCRole to your portal users resp. developers.
And as Luciano mentioned you should create the connection to your R/3 system.
Have also a look into our WIKI:

Hi Zulain,
Did you create a Portal System point to back-end R/3 system?
Have a look at this blog to complete the VC configuration: <a href="/people/marcel.salein/blog/2007/03/14/how-to-create-a-portal-system-for-using-it-in-visual-composer create a portal system for using it in Visual Composer</a>
