Initial upload of handling units with special stock category (W).

Dear Friends,

Is there a way to upload handling units with special stock category (W) in a single step?

Standard SAP allows 561 W but resets storage location in MB1C and therefore the result will only in posting inventory in IM at plant level.

No Inbound delivery is created thus limiting the creation of handling units.

A workaround exist by following the below steps :

Create special stock inventory in IM at plant level into unrestricted use

Create consignment fill up sales order and outbound delivery to create and move the inventory from unrestricted to special stock category (W).

Hi Abhiram,

That is standard SAP, we can write some custom code to get it done but since this is one time activity my suggestion would be the workaround identified by you is simplest option to achieve the required output
