Dear Friends,
We have implemented a functionality wherein in Sales order documents will be attached through GOS(Generic Object services). we have installed Content server and documents through GOS(Create--->Create Attachment) are storing in Storage category of content server. Its working fine.
Now we have an issue wherein the documents from the user WF-BATCH are also started pointing to the Storage category of Content Server. Earlier it was pointing to SOFFDB. Is there anything issue with configuration. Why WF-BATCH is saving in content server. Will be there any impact. Please suggest how to correct.
with regards,
Dayanand
Hello Murthy,
Table TBTCP gives you the job name, program ran, user and frequency. Please check the table for WF-BATCH user.
WF-BATCH is system user used to run the background job. In Archivelink case it normally runs the archivelink job.
If they documents were storing in the SAP DB before the configuration and not now it should be some wrong repository pointed out. Please check the configuration also.
Please post for any query.
Thanks,
Kolusu

Dear Sir,
Are you trying to crate Archivelink Documents or GOS attachments with WF batch ? Can you check transaction SKPR08 if there is some configuration change ?

Dear SSB,
We are trying to create attachments through GOS (Create--->Create Attachment) which will be stored into content repository. To achieve this SKPR08 Configuration is existing ( i.e Combination of SOFFPHIO & SOFFDB is assigned to Storage Category) as per the SAP Note 530792.
How does it connect to WF batch. WF Batch runs in the background. How can we control this functionality. Will be there any impact.
Please suggest.

Dear SSB,
We have Installed SAP Content Server and Content Repository has been configured in tcode OAC0.
Storage category has been configured in tcode: OACT. This storage category has been assigned in SKPR08 with the combination of SOFFPHIO and SOFFDB.
In Sales order using GOS Application(Create--->Create Attachment) documents are getting stored in the above Storage category. But along with these documents, WF-BATCH is also getting stored in the storage category. Our concern is why WF-BATCH is pointing to Storage category.
Hope it is clear.

Dear Sir,
And what is exactly stored with WF-BATCH ? Do you also save the GOS attachments with this ? Because of the configurations in SKPR08 all the GOS attachments will be saved in External Server.
Have you created any other repository in this server ? and you are attaching the documents in other repository ?

Dear SSB,
Please find the below answers for your queries.
And what is exactly stored with WF-BATCH ?
We are not aware of what is being stored with WF-BATCH and why WF-BATCH documents are storing in Content server.
Do you also save the GOS attachments with this ? Because of the configurations in SKPR08 all the GOS attachments will be saved in External Server.
Yes We do save the GOS attachments in Content Server. That is the client requirement. But we have to ensure that any other objects apart from GOS Attachments, should not get saved in the Content server.
Have you created any other repository in this server ? and you are attaching the documents in other repository ?
yes there were 2 repositories created in the Content Server. But those belong to different content server. Not the one we created for GOS attachments.

Dayanand
Hello Murhty,
Did you check if they are pointing to respective content repositories(OAC0) and nothing changed in the configurations.
Thanks,
Kolusu

Hi Daya,
Can you check configuration for SPRO->Document Management-->General Data-->Define Profile?
Thanks and regards
