Hello,

Where can I find Afaria Architecture - Internet, DMZ and enterprise network newer version ( Afaria 7 sp8 or sp7)?

I have only Afaria 7 sp 4 (attached file)

Olga,

The network structure for Afaria has not really changed much from Sp4 to SP 7 or SP8.  A few backend authentication methods have been tweaked, and some other features added of course, but the main structure is as it shows here on this sheet. I have yet to see an update to this particular document.  Can you tell me where you obtained it and I can follow up.

Thank you for replay.

Tracy,

I get this architecture from SAP Afaria Installation Guide Afaria 7 SP4.

http://frontline.sybase.com/support/documents/Afaria/7_0_SP4/Afaria7SP4_InstallationGuide.pdf

(page 7).

But I can't find the  SAP Afaria Installation Guide Afaria 7 SP8 like  it was in frontline.sybase.com.

In SAP Help Portal Page I found only a description of the installation, without the image of architecture.

Olga,

There is a whole document now on Afaria architecture on http://help.sap.com.   The document link is

http://help.sap.com/Download/Multimedia/pdf-afaria7sp8/Afaria_overview.pdf

Frontline is no longer being updated with new releases or documentation.  All our current documentation is here:

SAP Afaria 7 SP8 On Premise – SAP Help Portal Page

Dear Tracy,

In the document on page 7 I found  architecture picture, it's that I need. Thank you.

But  I can’t find in the architecture picture the Windows devices and Windows Store for windows apps.

I’m interesting  which protocol  for Windows smartphones used.

Based on the architecture picture for Android it’s   GCM,  for iOS  – APNs.  What for Windows ?

Windows Phone uses WNS ( the windows notification services).  If you are talking Win 32 and such those are just IP, but based on your mention of the Windows Store, I think WNS is what you are looking for. We also use the MPNS (Microsoft Push notification service) for sending push messages to tthe signed Afaria client.
