Hi Experts,
Is it possible to use self signed certificate for Sender HTTPS Soap? Probably by using openssl, or AFAIK, there's a tool in PI to generate a certificate, once the certificate is generated, does it need to be signed by a trusted CA?
Regards,
Suwandi C.
Hello Suwandi,
the question is not whether PI can do this (it does), the question is rather whether the client/server accepts it. If your partner accepts your self-signed certificate, you don't have any problem. You can generate that certificate in NWA keystore view. You should find a private key in view ICM_SSL_<instance_number>, maybe already with an according certificate. This should be there since installation and should be a self-signed certificate.
So, the answer to your last question cannot be answered by the forum, you need to ask your communication partner.
Regards,
Jörg
