Hi Experts,
During the life cycle of our projects, we are used to revise our forecast dates two or three times as compared to basic start dates.
We tried to find the solution in standard PS which allows us to maintain the changes made in forecast (like version 1, version 2 etc) but got no luck.
Our requirement is that system should maintain a log of changes made on dates every time while user changes it as updated forecast, previous forecast, so on and so forth.
Kindly guide the best possible way to achieve the same?
Regards,
Zain Bashir
Hi Zain,
This can be achieved through Project Versions, not Plan versions. When you have the basic dates established take a snapshot as Project version 00000000001, then after each change of User Status (you need to configure that) for example save other Project Versions (snapshot, needs to be configured as well) like 0000000002 so on so forth, Then you will be able to compare all these versions in your ECC or BW reporting.
regards,
Dave
