Two level authentication in SRM

Former Member

Dear Experts,

The current implementation is SRM 7.02 but with normal userid/password authentication. Is it possible to have Digital Signature Certificate to make a second level of authentication?

Is it a part of standard SAP SRM implementation?

Thanks for prompt response.

Regards

Hi,

I only heard of 'Digital Signature Certificate' in Bid Security Enhancements.
For example, you may check note:
1888066 - SRMBSE: Digital signature certificate verification Badi

1539732 - Email to bidder(Subject and Content)not correct in offln bid

I am not sure if this is what you want.

Hi Ivy,

Thanks for your response. After the user-id/password authentication for logging in to SRM system, one more authentication like Digital Signature Certificate. This is not for signing/encrypting any responses but only to ensure the authentication.

Hello Rupert,

Digital Signature is for document.

What you ask for is linked to user authentification: this is not linked to SRM application (or any other applications) but to the network architecture.

Laurent.

Hi Rupert,

I am afraid that this is up to the framework where SRM is deployed.
If you are using portal, it is up to portal if they can provide such kind of complicated authentication. I believe there should be.
If you are using NWBC, it is up to NWBC to decide this.
