Assembly Scrap is not getting considered in SNP planned order.

Dear Gurus,

In our scenario we want to consider assembly scrap for a Finished good. Thus in Product master assembly scrap is maintained. The necessary setting in global SNP customizing is also done. Now when we are running SNP heuristic on Finished good - Plant, planned order is getting created, but this planned order quantity is not taking assembly scrap into consideration. Is there any settings/customizing needed for this scenario.

Regards,

Ashwani

Hai ashwani,

Just check is you maintain assemble scrap % in MM mrp1 tab ? after that go to  MM costing 1 tab, there under  costing lot size option. Under the option we should maintain the enough quantity of lot size .

Ex : If you are maintain 2% assemble scrap , then  you should maintain costing lot size option 50 pc  . Then the assemble scrap is working properly.

Hi Prudhvi,

Scrape % is maintained in MM mrp1 tab and same is cifed to APO, also did the changes mentioned by you in costing lot size. still same result planned order quantity is not considering assembly scrap %. Here one thing we found out that if we change Procurement type of finished good from "E" to "F" external procurement then planning run is creating purchase requisition. This purchase requisition qty. is considering assembly scrap %. But we want it to be considered in Planned order(In house production).

Hi Ashwani,

Assembly Scrap does not necessarily increase the Planned Order Qty to the produced. Try using lot sizes and you will be able to see the reduction in Planned Orders but the total sum of receipts will always be in conjunction (Lot Size, Rounding Value etc.) with the total demand. However, what Assembly Scrap does is increase the Dependent Demand of the components.

Hai ashwani,

Better to use procurement type 'x' to your FG. Assemble scrap  it increase volume of qty and hours .
