SQL Server Access Issues - Can SAP PI 7.1 able to access the SQL Server 2012. running locally on the client machine

SAP PI 7.1 is on the LINUX machine and I am accessing the SAP PI 7.1 through the browser sxmb_ifr TCode. Now, the SQL SERVER 2012 is on my local machine where I am querying the database.

Just want to ask is this possible or a valid scenario? Please guide me in detail.

Hi Naceed,

There is not problem to have the database in your local machine but you network has to open the SQL ports to your computer. Also you would need to install the jdbc drivers in your PI.
