Hello everyone,
I got confused by referring discussions in forum regarding star join in analytical view and calculation view.
I am giving the following statements to my knowledge, can some one let me know these are right or not
#1. Star join available in calculation view : In this we can get measures from multiple fact tables
#2. Star join available in analytical view : This option available as a node by replacing logical join, this type of star join support only measures from single fact table, it wont support measures from multiple fact tables and it work a star schema like cube in BW
Please provide me details
Thanks in advance
Regards,
MKR
Calculation views mirror the functionality found in both attribute views and analytic views.
Graphical calculation views with star joins are to join multiple dimensions with a single fact table. You use star joins to join a central entity to multiple entities that are logically related.
This helps you to create a cube like structure in HANA which can also be achieved using an Analytic view.
Calculation view without Star join can be used to analyze measure from multiple fact tables.

Hi MKR,
Point is Correct one.
Logically we cant refer Cal view as Star join, in turn Analytical View does refer Star join.
