I am trying to assess how feasible it can be to track changes in the datawarehouse underlying a BO universe.
In my current project, in some cases, it is possible to update the ETL flows and hence have changes in the objects already defined in the universe. And we would like to have some sort of impact analysis making it possible to identify the resulting changes in the universe and anticipate the business reporting.
I have read the documentation on Information Steward and specifically the part concerning the Metadata Management module.
What I can understand is that the metadata management tool is always related to the latest version of the universe so I cannot compare metadata changes from one version of the universe to another.
Am I wrong in this assumption ? Has anyone ever used Information Steward or any SAP BO module to analyse impact in the metadata changes ?
