SAP System not coming up. And showing error "ORA-27102: out of memory" while starting Database

Hi All,

One of my SAP System "PI2" is down.

When i'm trying to start the Database it is showing the error like "ORA-27102: out of memory".

i had tried to start it from Secondary DB also even it is also showing the same error.

In SAP MMC  "Disp+Work" processes is also not getting started, this is a Dual stack system.

Please help me how to solve this issue.

Hi Mythili,

let us know the current SGA_MAX_SIZE value and the RAM size.

Meanwhile try below method.

The resolution for ORA-27102 came when the user reduced "sga_max_size" from 2gb if set or 1.78 to 1.GB and restart the system. This could be more than SGA size.

Is there any change on the hardware? Also is there abnormal behavior on memory usage?

If possible, please restart OS.

Hi James,

No Hardware changes are done.

But it is somewhat abnormal, i.e: it was continuously disconnecting to DB.

When i start the services i will get started, now it is not even starting.
