Hi Guys

After Upgrading and migrating a NW 7.31 System to NW 7.4 SP based in HANA, Im getting the following message regarding an external Oracle Database.

App Server is still Windows, so all kernel archives are for Windows.

Environment Variables all are OK,

Mind that this Database connection was working before System Upgrade

I thought it was related to lib_dbsl files, so I downloaded latest Oracle lib_dbsl for Windows X64 Platform, but still failing

Is if possible that Kernel 7.42 or NW 7.4 SP 12 is not compatible with Oracle 11.2.0.4 Client?

Best

Martin

Hi Martin,

I know you said you've checked the environment variables. Could you humour me nonetheless and post the output of SET from a command window. The path to your Oracle Client should be present.

Cheers,

Amerjit

Put the Oracle Instant Client files in the DIR_CT_RUN location and restart the SAP system.

Hi Benjamin

Should I put the entire K:\oracle\client\instantclient folder in K:\usr\sap\BWX\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64?

Awesome!

Is there any SAP note stating about this change?

Hello Martin,

The note that will help you with that is:

998004 - Update the Oracle Instant Client on Windows

It's not a "change" specific to a migration to another DB.

Amerjit
