Inconsistent SSFS error after SP9 Upgrade

Hi Folks,

I am getting the below error after upgrading to SP9 Rev97..

backup could not be completed, Inconsistent SSFS!

I tried to resolve this with the below note but it didnt help. While executing the ALTER SYSTEM APPLICATION ENCRYPTION CREATE NEW KEY mentioned in the note, it throws error Application encryption not possible without secure store

have you try to restore the key and data file of SSFS from a backup?

for us this solution solved the issue

Yes Davide,

I have taken the backup of my old SSFS Key & Data and copied to the new system.. Didnt help

I had no other option other than to go for a hard reset..

1. Restore of original SSFS.

Yes tried A first and that didnt work.. I had to do the hard reset but even that fails when I execute the

ALTER SYSTEM APPLICATION ENCRYPTION CREATE NEW KEY.
