Does adding 1547 deliveries in a single shipment make business sense at all in your process?
If not: Please check with the business what is the best criteria for split.
If yes: You may also wish to check distances/legs calculation for such huge shipment.
In the past I have played with a transportation planning addon and the processing time for shipment generation increases greatly when increasing the number of documents inserted (especially if in addition to standard you run more checks, fill some non-standard tables, process messages etc).
Were there any performance issues noted in the quality system during the stress tests before deploying to PRD? Any major changes in customizing/development since then?
What about the current problem - did you check ST22, SM13, SM12, SM21, SMQ*?
What about another job trying to process the same documents at the same time?
