PDF Print at HP Laserjet 1020 Printer

Hi Experts, In our new ERP QAS System(ECC 6.0 EHP 5), we created a printer at SPAD called ZLOCAL which specification is Access method: G, host printer: __default, Device type: pdf1. By using it, the spool requests is completing(in SAP) but not printing at printer HP LaserJet 1020 printer. In printer HP LaserJet 400 dn it is fine. How to resolve this issue as he have lots of HP LaserJet 1020 printer it is very difficult to replace the printers due to cost constraint. Please help me. Thanks Asad

Hi Asad

1. Is it showing any error message? and what is the device type selected?

2. You can define the output device Zlocal access method F: and then select the windows local printer, check the printouts.(Enter F if output requests for this printer should be output locally on the user's PC or workstation)

Hi SS, Device type is PDF1. If we select device type SAPWIN it is working fine. There is no error message showing with device type PDF1, but not printing. Asad

Hello Asad,

Pls install SAPPDFPRINT according to the note 1444342 in your client PC and print again.

if it still doesn't work,pls attach the sapwin_xxx.log file by referring the KBA 1780896.
