Hi,
Can anyone please explain me, how the Proportional Factor is being calculated and how it is used to disaggregate at detailed level.
Suppose, 9 weeks sales data is considered for Proportional Factor calculation. And after getting the Proportional Factor calculated, how to use that for a particular keyfigure(for example Forecast on detailed level for different buckets).
An example with manual calculation,is appreciated.
Thanks
Pravas
Hi Pravas,
Will try to explain with same example -
Suppose you have total 6 CVC for a given combination as given belwo-
P1 | P2 | |
Total | 10 | 20 |
CVC1 | 1 | 4 |
CVC2 | 1 | 4 |
CVC3 | 2 | 3 |
CVC4 | 2 | 3 |
CVC5 | 2 | 3 |
CVC6 | 2 | 3 |
Fixed proportion -
Total count for all CVCs = 20 + 10 = 30
Sum for each CVC across all period = 5
So, proportional factor = 5/30 = 16.66%
So, if you have another keyfigure which is based on keyfigure APODPDANT, it will be disaggregated in thi proportion.
Detailed Proportion -
Here proportional factor for CVC are time - dependent. In this calculation for period 1 - calculation would be -
1st CVC – 1/10
2nd CVC – 1/10
3rd CVC – 2/10
4th CVC – 2/10
5th CVC – 2/10
6th CVC – 2/10
Note - You can use Fixed proportion without parallel processing to view detailed logs after executing proportional factor to see how calculation is being performed.
Hope it helps you.
