Performance Data: Minute Values

We need to activate collecting performance data from the CCMS monitoring infrastructure every minute in Solution Manager. SAP Documentation tells: "Note that InfoCubes 0CCMMIN1 and 0CCMMIN2 are only filled with values if you choose a retention period of at least a day in the IT Performance Reporting set-up for the Minute/Quarter-Hourly Values".

I cannot find the place were I can to do IT Performance Reporting set-up in Solution Manager 7.1 SP12.

Hi,

For minute values, there is no possibility to store minute values for a longer time than 24 hours in an standard way. For performance and data volume reasons SAP turned off minutes values with 7.1 version.

For metrics delivered via the new MAI infrastructure it is indeed true that the minute values are only stored in the DSO 0CCMCURR which contains values of the last 24 hours. The values are not transferred to the cubes for longer storage. That is, to infocubes 0CCMIN1/2.

For metrics delivered by the old CCMS infrastructure this was possible in the past. As this feature was never deactivated, it is still possible for these metrics and this is also the reason, why the lifetime for minute values can still be configured in the setup.

In SAP Help the dataflow is explained, there you can see the infocubes involved, and you will see 0CCMMIN1/2 are not used anymore.

Also it is written "Interactive Reporting only displays aggregates from hourly resolution."
