Hi All,
I have a simple questions as I don't have any SAP specific document which recommends maximum size which can be processed via File adapter in SAP PO. We are creating a pass through scenario ( No Mapping ) where picking a file from ECC AL11 and posting it to FTP folder. Unfortunelty file which was generated in ECC was of 500MB and PO is not processing such a huge file.
We are planning to reduce the file size by minimizing the records in the file. Just wanted to check if anyone of you can provide any link where we can get SAP Recommendation about File Sizing.
Thanks,
Pushkar
Hi Pushkar
Here is the official best practice from SAP - however do note that there is no one recommended value since it is very dependent of your server's hardware, i.e. more CPU and memory means it can handle larger sizes.
Another option you can consider since it's a passthrough interface is to use chunking.

Hello Pushkar,
There is no standard maximum limit as such, less than 1mb is idle.
In your case try reducing to 100 mb and check.
