Hello All,
After starting SAP by using normal startsap command, we are getting hostname instead of service name. Please let us know where we need to rectify this script.
Hostname : AIXPRD01
Service Name : PEPSAP1

Subbu

I'm sorry. am I the only one that thinks this is the right outcome?....
You get first the Server Name (or instance name) which is usually formed of <host>_<SID>_(instance_number> and then the Hostname
So, having said that a sceenshot should make your problem obvious

Hello,
Adjust/Set the SAPLOCALHOST parameter at each instance profile, defining the virtual hostname there.
SAP restart will be required to activate this change.

Hello Subbu,
I assume what you are referring to as the Service Name is the virtual ip name. I'll further assume that your SAP profiles exist with the virtual name.
The way to start you system using the profile associated with your virtual address would be:
$ startsap pepsap1
