IDT keeps on crasing without any error message

Hi All,

I have been using IDT (Version 4.1 SP4) for over a year but day before yesterday it started crashing. It crashes as soon as the application opens and does not provide any error message as to why this is happening.

I have tried repairing it few times and also have uninstall it and reinstall I 3 times without any success.

I have also tried renaming the workspace folder to workspace.bak - after this , it did not crash straight away but as soon as I started creating a data foundation it crashed again ( I did not import existing projects just in case it had any corrupt projects - but also crashed)

I searched SCN and on search engines but could not find any solution hence posting it here.

I experienced the same issue a couple weeks ago.  Make sure you are up-to-date on Windows patches.

Hi,

Are another client applications working fine or do they also crash?

Can you try renaming lsi to lsi.old and check?

Path:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My SAP BusinessObjects Documents\LocData

File name:

<servername>_<cmsport_no>.lsi
